What to Bring to the Polls
Make sure you bring proper identification when you arrive at your polling location. Accepted forms of ID include a driver’s license, voter registration card, or passport. Polling sites will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., giving voters plenty of time to make their voices heard.
Free Rides to Polls
For those using public transportation, METRO is offering free rides to and from polling locations during the early voting period. Just inform the bus driver if you’re heading to or coming from a voting site.
Early voting ends on Friday, Nov. 1, so don’t miss this chance to vote ahead of the rush on Election Day.
Grassroots Efforts in Full Swing
Local voter outreach organizations are actively encouraging voter participation. Denver Harbor Cares, a voter outreach group in East Houston, is knocking on doors and spreading awareness about the upcoming election.
Despite potential risks associated with Senate Bill 1 (SB1), which limits voter assistance, voter advocacy groups are pushing ahead with their mission, demonstrating the dedication of grassroots efforts to increase voter turnout.
